Peter Carrescia is currently the SVP of Strategy and Corporate Development at Wave, a rapidly growing financial technology company, and previously was the President of NEXT Canada. Combining over 25 years as both a technology executive and venture capitalist, Peter has helped build and scale high growth companies by drawing on the experience he gained while in leadership roles at leading technology and venture capital firms. Peter has held senior roles at leading Canadian venture capital firms including OMERS Ventures, where he led investment activity in high growth technology companies. Prior to that, he held progressively senior roles at Microsoft and IBM. Peter holds a Joint Honours Bachelor of Mathematics (B.Math.) in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
