NEXT Canada Strengthens Leadership Volunteer Base with additions to Board

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Chiko Nanji and Josh Domingues to the NEXT Canada board for a three-year term. This decision was reached during the F24 Q1 Board meeting, where their expertise and commitment to the Canadian entrepreneurial landscape were recognized.

Chiko Nanji, the Group Chairman of Metro Supply Chain Group of Companies, brings a wealth of experience and passion for entrepreneurship in Canada. Mr. Nanji will collaborate with the NEXT Canada programs team to contribute to the development of program content with a specific focus on supply chain issues.

Josh Domingues, Executive Chairman at Flashfood, is celebrated as one of NEXT Canada’s most accomplished alumni. He joins a distinguished group of alumni on the board, including Malorie Brodie, Lauren Lake, Emilie Cushman, Ian Burgess, and Braden Ream.

Reza Satchu, Founding Chairman of NEXT Canada, expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions to the board. In his role as co-chair of the board and chair of the governance committee, Mr. Satchu welcomed Chiko and Josh and expressed gratitude for the continued dedication of the F24 slate of directors. The F24 slate includes John Kelleher, co-chair; Colleen McMorrow, treasurer and chair of the finance and audit committee; Sandra Odendahl, chair of the HR and culture committee; and Prof. Ajay Agrawal, academic director.

Mr. Satchu also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the extended community of leadership volunteers that support NEXT Canada. Among them, Harley Finkelstein, President of Shopify, and Michele Zatlyn, President of Cloudflare, serve as co-sponsors of NEXT IPO – a boutique program designed to assist NEXT Canada alumni ventures on a trajectory toward going public.

“NEXT is truly a community of people who believe in a better, stronger, and more prosperous Canada – and our leadership volunteers are the ones who make that possible,” remarked Mr. Satchu.
