Jan Sampson is Senior Vice-President, Client Experience at CI Financial. Responsible for establishing and leading Client Experience strategy and transforming the service organization, Jan challenges the status quo with her insightful and innovative thinking.

Jan has spent much of her 28 year career at CI and its subsidiaries. As Senior Vice-President, Corporate Initiatives, Jan implemented a strategy framework and led the Program Management Office responsible for delivery of key corporate initiatives. In her prior role of Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Jan introduced and led the enterprise CRM strategy. Earlier roles include Vice President, Channel Initiatives for Assante Wealth Management, and Chief Operating Officer of IQON Financial (acquired by CI) where Jan developed an administrative organization that supported a 600% growth in Financial Advisors over a 3 year period.

Jan is a mentor and member of the CI Women’s Mentoring Steering Committee, supporting the growth and development of high potential women. She is also dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in the child welfare system, and served on the Children’s Aid Foundation Board of Directors from 2011 – 2017.

A prairie girl at heart, Jan has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba. She adores her two daughters, the family dogs, and stays active by running, cycling, traveling, cooking and exploring new adventures.
