Bio

Eddy is a 2020 Next 36 alumnus and is the co-founder of Moment Energy. Moment’s mission is to help diesel dependent remote communities wean off of fossil fuels by repurposing electric vehicle batteries, making renewable energy more accessible. Eddy has a Bachelor of Mechatronics Systems Engineering from SFU and has worked in a variety of technical roles from manufacturing to nuclear research. At SFU, he was President of the SFU Aviation Club and co-founded the SFU SAE Electric Race Team. At the age of 16, Eddy took to the skies and earned his Gilder Pilots License, and earned his Private Pilots License through the Royal Canadian Air Cadets the following year. With his passion for mentorship and entrepreneurship at SFU’s Venture Connection, he is looking forward to meeting entrepreneurs and ventures that are looking to join the NEXT Canada family.
