Bio
Denis A. Grégoire is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HEC Montréal, where he also holds the Rogers-J.A.-Bombardier Chair of Entrepreneurship Research.
His current research centers on the cognitive processes supporting 1) the identification of entrepreneurial, strategic and international opportunities, 2) entrepreneurs’ decision to expand their firm’s activities in foreign markets (international entrepreneurship), and 3) the contribution of business angels and other early-stage investors to the launch and growth of entrepreneurial ventures.
Prior to returning to HEC, Denis was a Faculty at Georgia State University (Atlanta) and Syracuse University, where he was primarily teaching MBA courses in strategy and entrepreneurship. At HEC Montréal, he primarily teaches graduate courses in research methods. He also teaches the MBA course sequence in the Creative Destruction Lab – Montreal, a seed-stage program for massively scalable, AI-focused companies. He also acts as the Research and Selection Lead within this Program.
