Bio
Chris is an entrepreneur and executive with 25+ years of experience building and growing companies in the Internet, retail and technology industries. He has been a founding member of two successful start-up ventures.
Chris recently built a new Enterprise Partnership and Analytics team at RBC Ventures, a corporate incubator within Canada’s largest bank. Previously, Chris led the Canadian Retail, Telco and Tech business at Google – advising C-Level executives at Canada’s major brands on digital strategy, managing through the complexity of technical innovation and shifts in consumers behaviour. Chris is also the co-founder of KidStart – a VC-backed, UK based, consumer loyalty program – and held various roles at Computacenter, a FTSE 250 IT company based in the UK. Chris also spent four years at Accenture (UK) advising European communication and high tech clients on their business strategy. Chris began his career as a professional engineer for Esso in Toronto.
Chris is also an active volunteer and board member. He has been an advisor at Next Canada for 3 years, he sits on the Public Awareness and Branding Board committee for Baycrest Hospital & Foundation and is on the Personal Advisory Committee of an Ultra High Net Worth individual. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen’s University in Canada and an MBA from INSEAD in France. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.
