Every year, NEXT Canada recruits some of the country’s highest potential entrepreneurs from coast to coast. Over the course of eight months, we give these founders the tools and resources to create game-changing, homegrown ventures with global potential. Thanks to our blend of real-world education, globally recognized faculty, and mentorship from top business leaders, our entrepreneurs go from ideation to launch and beyond within just eight months.
With our programs wrapping up at the end of summer, we invite you to meet the 2022 cohort at Venture Week. Throughout the week, there will be networking opportunities, pitching sessions, socials and more!
VENTURE WEEK 2022

NEXT Canada Investor Week is a week-long virtual pitching event leading up to Venture Week, where we invite local and global investor funds to showcase our graduating cohort ventures seeking to find the right investors.

Sept. 8th: Education, Software and Enterprise
Sept. 9th: Hospitality & Travel, Digital Comms, Retail and Marketing
Join us for an entire block or a specific venture pitch. In the Investor Portal, you can view the full schedule for each day and add calendar reminders for individual ventures. All pitching events are 15-minutes for each venture to present a 3-minute pitch and 12 minutes for Q&A.
Kick off the week Venture Week with us in our Toronto office! Take in the Toronto skyline while getting to know this year’s entrepreneurs and the team behind NEXT Canada.
This year, we will have 12 awards available, recognizing entrepreneurs exemplifying NEXT Canada’s leadership and excellence values.
The graduating founders will hop on a bus and join us for an afternoon of fun team-building activities for the NEXT Canada graduating cohort, alumni ambassadors and staff.
The graduating founders will head downtown to the Cameron House to step on stage and get comfortable pitching in a fun and social setting amongst their peers.
This year, we’re excited to welcome Bruce Croxon, Eva Lau and Janet Bannister as panellists. The pitches are followed by a networking session, where you can mix and mingle with the graduating entrepreneurs and learn more about them and their ventures.
We will wrap up the week with a brunch to welcome the graduating cohort into the Next Alumni program and showcase the services and tools now available to them on the Alumni Portal.
This year, we will have 12 awards available, recognizing entrepreneurs which exemplify NEXT Canada’s values of leadership and excellence. This year’s awards will include; NEXT Canada Hepburn Valedictorian, Outstanding Venture Award, and The Satchu Prize.
