Bio
Jennifer Reynolds was appointed as the CEO of NEXT Canada in February 2026. She is committed to driving NEXT’s mission of increasing Canadian prosperity through entrepreneurship and innovation. Jennifer is an accomplished CEO and senior financial services executive, including senior roles in investment banking, venture capital, and global risk management. She has served as the CEO of multiple organizations, including serving as the CEO of Women Corporate Directors Foundation (WCD), a global network of 2500 women corporate directors serving on over 8500 boards worldwide; President & CEO of Toronto Finance International (TFI), a public-private partnership which promotes and develops Canada’s financial services sector, nationally and internationally; and President & CEO of Women in Capital Markets (WCM), Canada’s largest industry association and advocacy group for women in the financial sector.
Jennifer currently serves as a director on the board of Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV), a federal Crown corporation which provides the Government of Canada with specialized financial advisory around the country’s most complex and diverse commercial assets. She also serves on the board of Women’s College Hospital Foundation and on the Advisory Council for the Queen’s Institute for Sustainable Finance. Formerly, she served as a corporate director on the boards of Citibank Canada, BF&M Insurance Group Ltd, and Agrinam Acquisition Corporation. Jennifer also formerly served as the Co-Chair of the UN convened Financial Centres for Sustainability Network (FC4S).
Jennifer is an Executive PhD candidate (2027) at the ESCP Business School in Paris.
She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Women’s Leadership program, and she received her MBA from McGill University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Political Science from McGill University. Jennifer holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Designation, ICD.D. In 2015 and 2017, she was named a Women’s Executive Network (WXN) Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner.
