Mr. Ahmed El Kaffas is currently completing a Ph.D. in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto in Dr. Gregory Czarnota's laboratory. His research aims to study cancer treatment response using novel ultrasound methods. Mr. El Kaffas founded Oncoustics with the aim of bringing these ultrasound-based technologies to market in order to improve the outcome of cancer therapy. He has since been awarded a number of entrepreneurship awards including the OCE Smart Start seed fund award and a Ryerson SEB commercialization award. Through Oncoustics, Mr. El Kaffas continues to receive extensive mentorship and support from the Rotman School of Management Creative Destruction Lab.
