Justin Hunt

McGill University, Mechanical Engineering, 2018

Justin is a final year mechanical engineering student at McGill University. He has founded two small enterprises. The first one is a tutoring business, which he started at 16 years old and grew into a multi-faceted operation, offering prep courses and employing four tutors this past year. The second is a résumé management company, which offers professional services to revise and redesign client résumés and cover letters. While consistently achieving a high academic standing (Dean’s Honour List), Justin has been involved in many extra-curricular activities. In CEGEP, he was the President of the college’s student association where he founded a food program for students struggling financially and created a scholarship award to honour students who have contributed to student life. As the current Vice-President External for the Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University, Justin travels across Quebec and Canada to represent his society’s students and advocate for the improvement of engineering education in Canada. Last year, he also founded a scholarship for women studying in engineering and technology. Throughout his bachelor’s degree, he has completed five internships in aerospace and software consulting. After graduation, he hopes to begin his career as an entrepreneur, using technology for the advancement of healthcare, education or renewable energy.
