Shaurya is in his fourth-year of Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. Graduating in 2017, he is majoring in Biomedical Systems Engineering. He has an interest in medical devices and is passionate about bringing innovation and technology to healthcare. Shaurya has a wide range of experiences in the biomedical industry including development of a novel surgical navigation device at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, tissue engineering at a Cellular Mechanobiology lab, strategy development at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and starting a mobile advertising company. Shaurya is also a Co-Founder of Students Fighting Cancer (SFC), a social awareness club dedicated to educating people about cancer and inspiring students to take up careers in STEM.
Shaurya views entrepreneurship as an opportunity to leverage his knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry to build products that make a difference in the lives of patients.
