Alex is the co-founder of Robot Playtime, where he's building a learning platform to engage K-12 students in robotics and computer science. He loves playing with robots, and believes they can be used as powerful tools to empower young learners to create, while fostering their imagination through play. Alex graduated from Engineering Science, and recently completed his M.A.Sc. research in robotics at University of Toronto, working on emotion recognition architectures for human-robot interaction, and semi-autonomous multi-robot urban search and rescue. When he's not working, Alex enjoys bouldering, dragon boat racing, Brazilian Iiu Jitsu, and competing in Men's Artistic Gymnastics.
