Lexi Kaplin

Chemical Engineering, Queens University, 2016

Lexi Kaplin is in her final year of Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University.  Last May, she co-founded a startup out of the Queen’s Venture Incubator program, QICSI, called Lumos Energy Strips – a fast acting, naturally caffeinated breath strip. In her role as Director of Operations, she has been equally involved in both business and product development. The startup won $20K in funding at a pitch competition in August, which it has been using to further develop the product and reach market.

During her time at Queen’s, Lexi has exercised roles in logistics and marketing through various clubs and activities. She is currently the Director of Marketing for Queen’s Conference of Business and Technology, and was involved with getting the conference off the ground during its founding last year.

From Montreal, Lexi is bilingual in French and English. Previous work includes positions in Public Relations and Wealth Management.
