Joel Wegner

Venture Mentoring Service, Marketing/Marketing Management, University of Alberta, 2013, 2016

Joel Wegner is currently the CEO and Co-founder of GrooveDish (a smartphone application that customizes a restaurant's menu to accommodate personal dietary restrictions). He also helped co-found a clothing line company called Multiplying Equality, which focuses on combatting social injustices within the community and currently assumes the role of Director of Public Relations.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and specialized in Marketing and Strategic Management and Operations. Before pursuing the entrepreneurial dream, Joel worked in many different industries such as real estate, hospitality, and consulting. He has also traveled to over 30 countries in the last 5 years and has lived in New York, Australia, and New Zealand. Joel is now looking to start a new venture with like minded individuals and hopes The Next 36 will act as that catalyst.
