Elizabeth will be graduating with an Engineering Physics degree specializing in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, with a minor in Commerce. Her passion for biomedical technology has led Elizabeth to two years of industry experience with medical devices, focusing on ablation treatment, cancer detection and novel imaging methods. Through these internships, Elizabeth developed technical skills in software development, as well as mechanical and electrical design. As the CTO of the UBC Biomedical Engineering Student Team, Elizabeth leads 71 students working on six different projects with the common goal of designing and implementing innovative solutions to both local and international medical challenges. She also is an active member on the Medical Device Development Centre’s Board of Directors, bridging the gap between students and the local biomedical industry. She aims to create revolutionary technologies to improve quality of life worldwide.
