Janelle Hinds graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. Passionate about STEM education and entrepreneurship, Janelle joined several clubs and volunteer opportunities in leadership roles as a way to affect positive change. This lead to the founding of HackItMac, a collaborative student technology community at McMaster which ran the first student run hackathon for social innovation. She loves to see how we can use technology to improve lives and like to encourage everyone to use their unique skills and experience to do so. As a self taught programmer, Janelle has worked in several tech internships where she took initiative and implemented new projects. Janelle is looking forward to using to her skills to create change and give back to her community.
