Saumya Krishna

Saumya is currently a Rhodes Scholar and graduate student at the University of Oxford. She completed her BHSc at Western University through the Scholar’s Electives program, focusing on health sciences and sociology with a particular interest in globalization, and graduating with the academic gold medal. Alongside her studies, Saumya co-founded the Youth Social Innovation Capital Fund, which provides early stage financing to young social entrepreneurs in Canada. This impact investing fund was a finalist for the Most Promising New Financial Player in the Social Finance Awards 2012, and awarded a three year grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Saumya is a member of the Global Shapers community for the World Economic Forum, and presently Curator of the Oxford Hub. She has also received the Governor General's Academic Medal, the University of Toronto National Book Award, and the RBC Shad Entrepreneurship Cup.
