Bio

Laura Hantho is an entrepreneur, advisor and investor. She is also a director and business executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the information technology sector. After an accomplished 14-year career with IBM where she held various executive positions, Laura co-founded and sold two successful companies: The King West Club and Webhelp, which grew internationally to employ over 2,000 people and was ranked twice one of “Canada’s Hottest Start-ups” by Profit Magazine and as one of “Canada’s 25 Most Promising Internet Companies” by Bain & Company. Laura is active in the start-up community advising high growth companies and entrepreneurs. She has served as an Advisor at MaRS as well as Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the New Venture Project at the Ivey Business School. She also serves on several boards and committees including the Public Accountants Council for the Province of Ontario, the Ivey Advisory Board and the University Health Network Information Technology Committee. Laura holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She also holds an Honours BComm from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
